ECMS 6-1 Weekly Newsletter: March 24th, 2016

Posted on Updated on

Happy Thursday, March 24th, 6-1 Families!

Happy Track In! We hope everyone had a safe and happy trackout.  We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday, March 28th for the start of 4th quarter.  4th quarter is a very busy time around our school so please make sure to read our updates and Remind texts and do not hesitate to ask us any questions.

ECMS is participating in the Cary/Apex/Morrisville Relay for Life on May 21st to support the American Cancer Society. We would like to have as many students and families be a part of the event as possible and we are also trying to reach a fundraising goal of $1,000. If you would like to donate, find more information, or if you would like to join our team and actually walk in the Relay, please follow the link http://main.acsevents.org/goto/ECMSrelay. If you have any additional questions, please email the ECMS team captain, Ms. Schneider at mschneider@wcpss.net.  Ms. Haynie will also be helping so you are welcome to e-mail her as well.

Our next STEM elective meeting is Friday, April 1st.  Students should be prepared to bring their necessary materials for their particular STEM elective.

We have our last inclement weather make-up day on Saturday, April 2nd. Please keep in mind the following about Saturday school:

1) Arrival time is like a normal school day. Bell rings at 7:00am to enter the buildings.
2) Dismissal is at 11:00am.
3) No lunch or breakfast will be served but students may bring a snack.
4) Students should plan to have all their core classes and both electives tomorrow.  The schedule has the potential to change from the last Saturday school so students should be prepared to see all their teachers.
5) Let the teachers know in advance if your student will not be attending school on Saturday. Attendance is taken and students are responsible for the work they miss.
