ECMS Mid-Trackout Announcements: March 15th, 2016

Happy Tuesday, March 15th, 6-1 families!

We hope everyone is having a wonderful March trackout.  Your teachers sure are! We look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday, March 28th for the start of 4th quarter.  It’s hard to believe we only have 9 more weeks left together.

A few IMPortant mid-trackout annoucements:

  1. ECMS is participating in the Cary/Apex/Morrisville Relay for Life on May 21st to support the American Cancer Society. We would like to have as many students and families be a part of the event as possible and we are also trying to reach a fundraising goal of $1,000. If you would like to donate, find more information, or if you would like to join our team and actually walk in the Relay, please follow the link you have any additional questions, please email the ECMS team captain, Ms. Schneider at  Ms. Haynie will also be helping so you are welcome to e-mail her as well.
  2. EOG time is coming and that means we need your help! ECMS is looking for volunteers to help in proctoring during the testing window in May for Track 1 and in June for Tracks 2,3, and 4.  The testing dates are not firmed up yet but once we know, we will let you know.  All test proctors must be cleared through the WCPSS Volunteer System.  If you have not registered as a volunteer for the 2015-2016 school year for ECMS, you will need to stop by ECMS any day of the week and get registered.  The system is now open 5 days a week for the remainder of the year.  Once again, once we have more firm details, we will send those dates out to you.
  3. 7th Grade Immunizations – Please make sure you are taking the necessary steps to make sure your student is up-to-date with their immunizations prior to 7th grade.  Trackout is a great time to take care of this.  Please see the attachment for more information. Students should have brought a hard copy of this home with their 3rd Quarter Report Cards on Friday, March 4th. Rising 7th Grade Immunizations
  4. 2016-2017 Elective Registration – Soon after tracking back in, students will be able to give their preferences for elective registration for 7th grade.  Please review the elective choices with your student prior to tracking back in so they will be ready to make their selections.  Elective Guides can be found here: 2016-2017 ECMS Elective Information

We hope you continue to enjoy this beautiful spring weather!  Please do not hesitate to contact one of us if you have questions over trackout.  We may be a little slower to respond but we will respond as soon as we can.

Thanks again for all your support,

Lauren Haynie, Yang Xia, Margaret Chappell, Mike Hayes, & Chad Miller
