Happy Thursday, January 28th, 6-1 Families!

We had another great week on the 6-1 team!  Students learned more about being “flexible” this week as we encountered snow days and delayed start times.  Monday’s make-up day will be this Saturday, January 30th.  Thing to know about Saturday School:

  1. Arrival is at 7:00am and dismissal is at 11:00am. Please plan transportation accordingly.
  2. School buses will run on the same morning schedule as any other school day.
  3. NO breakfast or lunch will be served. Students may bring a snack if needed.
  4. See the attached bell schedule for Saturday.

Please continue to check PowerSchools a couple of times a week.  The grades are as up-to-date as possible.  If you see a gold square, that indicates your student has a missing assignment.  Interims for all classes will go out on Friday, Feb. 5th through your student’s homeroom teacher.  If you have a question about a particular grade, please contact that teacher directly.

Lastly, please see the flyer below in regards to an opportunity for 6th and 7th grade students to apply to be a member of the Marbles STEM Play Corps.  A group of students from across the county are selected each year to bring STEM outreach programs to younger children and the community through Marbles museum.  6-1 had one student selected last year for this amazing opportunity and has loved every minute of it.  Consider applying! More details in the flyer below.
