Science (Ms. Haynie) – This week we reviewed for the 1st Quarter Benchmark and spent a few days talking about Soil.  Next week, we will spend the week talking about Flowering Plants.  We will be doing a Flower Dissection Lab on Wednesday and will need some flowers donated.  We’ve done this in the spring in the past so it was easier to get flowers.  Lillies are the best for this particular lab.  If you can donate flowers, please send them in with your student on Wednesday, Oct. 14th.

Science Topics should have been approved by the end of the day today.  Students who have not yet decided on a topic will need to see me ASAP.  Part B (Title and Testable Question) are due by Friday, Oct. 16th for feedback.  All information can be found on Ms. Haynie’s Teacher Website:

Social Studies (Mr. Miller) – We will begin our Ancient Greece PBL on Monday, in collaboration with ELA classes.
